DEPUTY COMMISONER
Deputy Commissioner KVS Delhi Region
Message
On the occasion of Teachers’ Day 2026, I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt appreciation to the entire teaching fraternity across the country.
Today, as the world of education is transforming rapidly, the essence of teaching remains timeless. Across Kendriya Vidyalayas, our teachers continue to serve the cause of education with dedication, commitment and an unwavering spirit.
They are at the forefront of implementing the vision of NEP 2020, advancing the transformative initiatives of PM SHRI, embracing digital learning and Artificial Intelligence, adopting experiential and competency-based learning, and continually enriching their pedagogical practices to meet the evolving needs of 21st-century learners.
Yet, even as technology transforms classrooms, the teacher remains at the heart of education.
The Indian knowledge tradition has always recognised that education is not merely about acquiring knowledge—it is about nurturing character, values and wisdom, and becoming a better human being. And it is the teacher who makes this transformation possible.
Every teacher who goes the extra mile to help a struggling learner, encourages a hesitant child, discovers a hidden talent, teaches by example and inspires a young mind to dream a little bigger contributes not only to education, but also to nation-building.
On this Teachers’ Day, KVS Headquarters salutes and congratulates our dedicated teachers, for their tireless e orts and invaluable contribution towards shaping the future of our children and the nation.
Technology will continue to evolve. Classrooms will continue to change. But the light of a teacher will remain eternal.
Happy Teachers’ Day 2026!
With best wishes,
(Vikas Gupta)
