The Genisis Of The KV
PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya AFS Bawana was established in the year 1985, with a single section now evolved into a three section Vidyalaya. It is located amid the lush green, pollution free and serene environs of Air Force Station, Bawana about 4 km from Bawana Village and 8 km from Narela sub-city.
The Vidyalaya has been, since its inception performing well not only in academics, but also in co-curricular activities and sports.
The medium of instruction for all subjects is English. Except social Studies allowed in both English & Hindi medium.
The Vidyalaya has been glorified by a great achievement of the staff and students obtaining its motto of 100% result in AISSCE.
Important Milestone Of Growth
The standard of the Vidyalaya has been maintained because of the leader of the team along with the highly qualified, experinced and dedicated team members. Our organisation also conducts Inservice courses for teachers from time to time for updating the knowledge and to aware them with latest methodology and the technology of education. There is a system for an acedemic supervision by the senior educationists, sepcialist and experts to bring about the desired changes in the academic attitude and aptitude of the teachers.

Facilities Available Including Games And Sports Facilities
It is matter of extreme pleasure to announce that it is not only in academics that the school is taking long strides but it is in sports and games as will that students have brought many laurels to it. Seventy one students took part in Kvs Regional Meet in 2007 and 56 in 2008. Our teams bagged Gold and Silver medals in 2007 & 2008 respectively in Kabbaddi Boys.
Apart from team games several students took part in individual games like judo (boys and girls) athletics (boys) boxing and chess. Out of 8 participants in Judo (boys) seven were selected for Kvs national bagging two Gold and two Silver medals besides getting the cash prizes of Rs 2500/- & 2000/- respectively. Likewise, 5 girls took part in judo Regional Meet and 4 of them were selected for Kvs National Meet. They also bagged cash prizes of Rs 2500/- & Rs 2000/-. One of our boxers (boys) got 3 rd team position in Regional Meet and Represented the Kvs National Meet. Similarly 3 boys represented Pre National in Kabbaddi and one in volleyball. Four students of our school participated in SGFI in 2008, 56 students represented school at Regional level and 13 students named Mohit Dahiya, Chetan, Nitin, Amit kumar, Kushal, Ajay, Khushubhoo, Priya, Nikita, Swati and Vikas Singh got selected in Kvs National. One student Kushal represented in Judo Sjfi. These participants brought cash prize worth Rs. 10,500/- in individual games. It is really a superb performance by our young players.
